Unreal 5.1 Locking up when adding mesh

Using UE5.1, when I add building (from Actors folder) from the Neo Tokyo kit I am having problems with Unreal stalling out on "preparing static mesh". It will hit something like 82% or even 90% and then just sit there for hours (tested). I have to force quit the program to get out of it.
Same thing happens when I try to work with the static meshes.
I redownloaded the kit just to make sure it wasn't an update thing, or a corrupt file etc. Same issue. Happens on two different machines as well.

This should be resolved by importing assets via Cargo:

Hi Brett,
Couple of questions.
Did you copy the kit contents to a different project or are you opening the unreal.uproject inside the kitbash folder?
Are you able to open the static mesh or blueprint that's failing to load into the level by double clicking it?

I am using the supplied project file. Opening the static mesh was causing the same hang-up. The one that most consistently caused me the issue was LG Building 2 in the Neo Tokyo 1 kit. I am out of the office for the next week so can’t verify the exact name. There were others that caused the problem though.
