[Bug] Unable to Import Previously Downloaded Assets After Changing Download Folder

After changing the folder, if I said, "yes" to copy the files, Cargo crashed during the copy. When I reopened it, it thought I had already everything, but nothing would import. (Even though the Import button was active.)
So I thought, just change it again and tell it "No" to the copy assets and it will think everything needs to be downloaded. But nope, same results!
I didn't know/couldn't find where the original downloads were, so I couldn't manually copy them. So now I can't use those kits at that resolution??

Changing the folder location asked if I wanted to copy my existing cache to the new location. I selected yes but it crashed after copying Geometries of the first kit.
Seeing the folder names are the same, am I able to manually copy the remaining folders from the old cache to the new one?
Obviously it doesn't prompt me again upon restart as it thinks it's complete.

I had exactly the same issue, but even after copying the files to the new location manually (like Stephen Maitland suggested), I cannot import anything I've imported previously. I don't want to sound mean, but that is just embarassing for a product that isn't cheap.
That is actually almost a dealbreaker for me. I will try to uninstall and then re-install Cargo, but that is a truly horrible user experience. No error message, no graceful handling of an error, just a greyed out button and nothing.
I honestly don't get why at least Blender isn't simply handled as a pure Blender addon. There are multiple other addons that require you to sign in and allow you to browse a catalog from within Blender. The current setup just seems needlessly complicated.
I was a software developer myself for two decades, so I get why this isn't easy, but a production-ready application just cannot make these kinds of mistakes, in my opinion. That is so bad that every affected user should get a couple of free months.
The amount of time I have to spend wrangling Cargo (when I haven't even used it in an actual project that much) as opposed to just working in the 3d software of my choice makes it very much feel like a very early beta product.
Sorry to be so blunt, but I am a bit frustrated.
EDIT: So, yeah, I uninstalled Cargo, restarted my PC, deleted the folder with all the downloaded files and re-installed Cargo. It remembered all settings (login/PW), file location folder and which models I had already (alledgedly) downloaded. So not only was my issue not solved, now there are even more models that I can no longer use because Cargo erroneously believes I already have them when in fact I now have an empty folder.

Your original cache is in C:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\kitbash3d\kits\
It crashed on me too so I manually moved all of the kit folders to my new location. I left .sum and downloader.json behind as I wasn't sure whether they should stay put.
Projects seem fine and no assets lost.

I tried an experiment, moving back to the default cache folder (without copy), chose a new cache folder and it stopped (assumed crash) in exactly the same place.
