Maxx Burman: That's wonderful news, thank you!

Download 3.5 then you will be able to use cargo on 3.6
Jonas Potdevin
Marischa Becker: Can you elaborate on that? I tried 3.5 and 3.4 but Cargo can't find these versions of blender. Even after uninstalling every version and trying from a fresh install. Last and only version I had success with was 3.1

Jonas Potdevin: That is strange, I just downloaded 3.5 and then I closed Cargo, opened 3.5 then it picked up my blender and installed the update, I then closed 3.5 and then I opened 3.6 and its now working fine for me.
Jonas Potdevin
Marischa Becker: Thanks for the reply! I'll experiment some more.

Marischa Becker: i tried this in many permutations and it did not work for me. works in 3.5 but not 3.6

We're currently working on 3.6 support.
There are quite a few software we are supporting so we will likely not have week 1 support for new versions. That said, we are working hard to turn around updates quickly and should have 3.6 out in the next few days.

Totally understand the ask of having the latest versions for each software. We're a small dev team working to support every major 3D Software and render engine, and some new versions throw a wrench in our architecture (specifically Blender 3.6 has had significant changes to add-ons and how meshes are handled). We're working hard to ensure we're consistently bringing new software support and will have an update on this soon.

agreed. i dont know of ANY plugins that break with minor versions either. the cargo app api should be version agnostic. nothing significant is changing in blender with regards to importing geo and shaders. the location of blender… other than being in the version number folder. but even that - there is a system wide default version of blender that is run whenever a .blend file is double clicked.
hope the devs make the whole thing just more robust.

Blender 3.6 released yesterday, and there are some major changes with how Add-Ons are handled. We do plan to support it, but it will take us a bit of time. For now, Cargo supports up to Blender 3.5
