Keep models from different packs in different folders
Steven Chen
I just want to be clarify here, did y'all mean AFTER the asset is downloaded that you'd want them to be in separated folders based on the kit on your harddrive? Or did you mean something else?
Can you tell me why it would be helpful?

Steven Chen Personally, I was thinking of separate folders once the assets are imported into Unreal. At the moment all actors are placed inside a single large folder which makes browsing them a bit cumbersome. They do all have prefixes per pack on the file names though which can be used to filter the folder contents as a work around.
Steven Chen
John Pollard Typically how many assets are you importing at any given time for a project?

Steven Chen Hi Steven. I like to work with one massive project per engine version that has all my assets imported. Filtering the KB3D actors folder by the packs file name prefix is a workable solution for me though 👍

Steven Chen Yes on the HD but I was talking about Inside of Unreal. All models are together. It would be a massive help if they were in their separate kit folders:) At the moment its a mess to try and find a model I'm after especially when there are multiple downloaded into the project. If they are in separate folders in UE then its fast to find the kit name and then the model:) Keeps things cleaner to.

Ryan Lewis Got it thanks! just to be clear, it's to really help with searchability of assets inside of Unreal after they've been pulled into your project

Steven Chen. Yep that’s it 👍

Steven Chen Yes. A neat folder structure with the kit name helps people to find assets fast. If you look at an asset from UE. it usually comes with the kit name and inside a folder structure like meshes, BP,s materials etc. We dont need it to go that far but assets from kits divided into folders of the relevant kits would be a massive help:) Thanks

Steven Chen why would u want all the models in the same folder ? putting htem in sperate folders has so many benefits - it reloads faster - its easier to know what goes together - its easier to know what u already imported cuz they dont tell u or give u any idea what u already imported - its absurd the way it is
