[Kit Feedback] Add Daz3D Support

Has there been any discussion of adding compatibility for Daz3D? It takes a lot lot lot of work to get these up and running in Daz/Iray using FBX/OBJ, especially kits with a lot of emissive surfaces. I would buy most of your kits in a heartbeat if they were available in a natively supported format.

I agree! We need DAZ models. I have gotten all the promotional kits and broke them down in blender but export/import just takes so much time! I love the kits and I am ready to by more kits but not till they are DAZ friendly lol!

Just use the fbx or obj for Daz, or are you meaning specifically the iRay shaders for Daz? I’m only asking as I use daz as well but mainly for character design work for round trip into UE5 eventually.

Garry Cleaver: the FBX and OBJ both import into Daz as one giant piece without first breaking it apart in something like Blender and re-saving/re-exporting as individual pieces that can then be imported directly into Daz. That takes a lot of time right there. Then you have to set up the Iray shader...which is more time. You can assign the textures to load in the right places while in Blender, but the normals still won't...so you have to manually put them in the right place once the object is imported into Daz. If there are any emissive surfaces, those need to be manually set up in Daz as well.

I want to have Daz support too. As a promotional artist I really don't have time to do alot of manual tweaking when putting my scenes together, because I am limited on time to get all of the images done.

Yes, please! I would buy your most recent kits in a heartbeat if they were natively supported by Daz3D. In their current state, the OBJ/FBX files take way way way too long to break apart and set up for use, particularly the materials. The actual material files work fine with Iray, but they need to be manually added to the proprietary Daz Iray shader and that takes forever, especially for the kits with lots of emissive surfaces.
